My artistic approach is flexible and responsive to the current political climate in Western Culture.  I’m transfixed by the by current Western customs and how their meaning either coencides or combats  with modern lifestyles and feminist goals. Likened with how my chosen subjects’ or watercolor pigment it’s self  relate to and impact women’s issues and social equality. I have come to focus on watercolor as a medium because of its primarily feminine history in the western art canon. My artwork centers on exploring illustrative feminine narratives of the media and personal experiences. By defining myself as a feminist artist I mean that my work deals with feminist content and it always seeks to find a feminist process, which is equitable and open. I've always been politically conscious. My work focuses on justice but, in a patriarchal society this requires getting the word out and exposing the important issues.Through my different series of work I hope to bring people together to discuss these topics and have an open dialog about current issues.
